What am I up to?

Oh, about 5 foot 3 or so…HA!

Yeah, ok. Not so funny. I hang out with a small person who speaks his own language all day, and thinks that pretending to sneeze his plush ball into the air is hilarious. (Well, it IS, kinda).

Anyway - here’s my latest:

Books of the week: “The Rule of Four”; “America (The Book)”. Both really good. “America” made me laugh out loud. “The Rule of Four” was sort of like “Da Vinci Code”, but I liked it better b/c it took place on a university campus and the protagonists were college students. Interesting twists, sympathetic characters. I recommend!

If you have a chance next year: Go see some of the shows in the SF Sketch Comedy Festival (end of January). Went with my folks and sisters (Sean stayed home for ‘date night’ with D), and saw some really funny stuff, especially a stand up act by Dan Piraro (writes the comic “Bizarro”). He was freakin’ hysterical. I can’t describe it, but it was highly visual and lots of deadpan. Awesome times. I love living near the city.

I’ve  been taking Decker to playgrounds, and he’s really liking them, but is also not quite so wieldy yet, so today he is sporting a split lip, which makes it look like he got into a tussle with another toddler (he didn’t - his mom is just slow on the draw and didn’t catch him in time as he slipped on the platform stairs to the little kids’ slide). I felt like all the parents there were watching me, thinking “Rookie. Who let her have a kid?”. (I know, the invisible audience psych phenom left over from junior high days…what can I say?).

That’s about it! I’m picking up my folks’ steam cleaner today, and will attempt to resurrect what I can of our living room rug this coming weekend - wish me luck!
